2012 National Conference Standards Courses 
Each camp/program wishing to go through the ACA accreditation process must have at least one person from their camp/program who will be actively involved with the preparation of materials and on-site the day of the visit attend a Standards Course (new camps/new directors) or a Standards Update Course (director/staff from currently accredited camp who has helped with the preparation of materials and been actively involved in the on-site visit).
Standards Course
Who: Anyone interested in learning more in the ACA accreditation process and those preparing for an upcoming accreditation visit. This course is specifically designed for an individual who has not previously had responsibility for the preparation and implementation of the visit. This might be a camp/program going through the visit the first time OR a new director/administrator at a currently
accredited camp.

Standards Update Course
Who: This course is designed for the director/staff who has been actively involved in the preparation of materials and the on-site visit at a currently accredited camp in the recent past. If you have not assisted with the preparations, please register for the Standards Course (vs. this update course).

Visitor Update Course
Who: All current ACA accreditation visitor. All current visitors will need to complete the Visitor Update Course prior to conducting a visit. As a visitor, if your camp is being visited in 2012 and you are involved with the preparation for this visit, you do not need to complete the Standards Update Course in addition to the Visitor Update Course.. The course MUST BE completed in order for a visit to “count.”
