Welcome to the Spring 2008 Standards
Newsletter!
In our efforts to "go green," this
newsletter is being sent electronically.

The Standards Team continues to be committed
to communicating on a regular basis to
keep you, the Visitors, updated and ready
for the 2008 season (and beyond!). Feel

2007-08 has been a busy year for the Standards
Team! We made it through the first summer
of revised Standards and a new score form
fairly smoothly! Some of the "happenings"
of the Standards Team include:
- Standards Chair Conference calls were
hosted in December and March to allow
the sharing of information in yet another
format.
- Standards Team members presented sessions
at many local and regional conferences
as well as the National Conference
- ACA introduced the first course in
ACA's e-Institute, an online Standards
Course. This was quickly followed up
by an e-Visitor's Update Course,
which includes the "Scoring and
Score Form Module." We have requested
ALL Visitors complete this module.
- The Standards Team answered the many
questions received from camp directors
and staff.
- Built relationships with outside groups
(such as AEE, ACCT, etc.).
- Sent out Accreditation Certificates.
- Worked on collecting Statements of
Compliance (an ANNUAL task which seems
as if it is never ending).
- Did our best to support you, the visitors
who make the standards program what it
is!
As we approach yet another very busy summer,
accept our thanks for the many hours you'll
be volunteering this summer! Without
you, the Visitor, this program would not
work! May 2008 be your BEST summer
yet.
