She is the child's champion and believes each one of us has the power to make a lasting impact with our campers and families. ACA CEO, parent, child advocate, frequent speaker, and change-agent, Peg will open our conference and share progress on the road to 20/20.

Psychiatrist, author of CrazyBusy: Overbooked, Overstretched, and About to Snap, parent, and frequent television spokesperson on the topics of adult and child attention deficit disorder, Ned, offers special insights into our "Crazy Busy" world. He has authored fourteen books on various psychological topics, including attention deficit disorder, the power of the human connection, the childhood roots of happiness in life, methods of forgiving others, dealing with worry and managing excessive busyness. Dr. Hallowell will be featured at the opening keynote event on Tuesday, February 17, beginning at 3p.m.

Linda is a veteran writer for the Washington Post and author of two books, Not Much Just Chillin': The Hidden Lives of Middle Schoolers and Tested: One American School Struggles to Make the Grade. On Wednesday morning, February 18, Linda will offer insight into how boys and girls in their tweens and early teens view life and what camp directors need to know about the emerging social world and hidden lives of today's tweens and teens. She will help camp directors think about how to continue to engage this age group at our camps. Linda will also share the impact a camp experience can have on today's tweens during this short time of significant and dramatic developmental changes in their lives. Linda is a former day, resident and specialty camper as well as an educator, the Public Editor of the National Education Writers Association and a new mom.
