USA Archery Level I Archery Course Confirmation
Thank you for your registration to the USA Archery Level I Archery Certification Course on May 17, 2014, 9am-6pm at the Cheviot Hills Recreation Center. See below for important information / reminders about the event. Please check back to this page for event updates.
The archery range is located on the northwest side of the park. Enter the park at Motor through the entrance closest to Pico and drive to the back of the park until you reach the rotunda with the sign for the West Region Headquarters of the Department of Recreation & Parks. You will find parking spaces here: the archery range is right behind the petanque (lawn bowling) fields.
Liability Release Form: Please print out and sign a Liability Release Form and bring it with you to the training.
Archery Skills: The Level I Archery Course focuses on preparing individuals to teach archery - very little time is available for participants to learn basic archery skills. If possible, please take a basic archery class before attending the Level I Archery Course, so that you have some skill and comfort with archery before starting the Level I Course. Free archery classes are available at the following locations:
The class is from 9am-6pm. Please arrive early to allow time to find the archery range. Participants will be given 45 min - 1 hour for lunch. You may bring a sack lunch or go off site to buy lunch (there are various restaurants nearby). Be sure to wear comfortable clothes, closed toed shoes and dress in layers to accommodate changes in weather. You will be outside most of the day - sunscreen and a water bottle are recommended.
