Building Community Partnerships – Holding Hands Feels Good
PRESENTER: Jamie Sabbach
COST: ACA members $20; Nonmembers $40
Partnerships have proven to be a powerful management practice of choice for dealing with economic and social change. As these changes continue at a rapid pace, partnering has quickly become an effective way to address and resolve critical community issues and address organizational priorities in increasingly complex times. Agencies that wish to position themselves for future success will take more collaborative approaches with other like-minded organizations to reduce costs, improve service delivery, and break free from linear thinking. We are in a new age when holding hands, utilizing scarce resources more efficiently, and avoiding duplication of efforts are today’s most responsible and logical way of doing business.
Through this webinar, participants will learn:
- Elements of effective partnerships.
- Primary obstacles and barriers in partnership development and maintenance, and how to overcome these challenges.
- Methods to engage potential community partners.
