how to increase year-round programming to
both increase revenue and to enhance youth
outcomes. This webinar explores how community
based youth service providers (such as municipal
parks and recreation programs and day/resident
camps) can develop a collaborative model
with schools to provide educational programming
to youth. Tips for creating successful school
partnerships and programs will be shared.

Presenter Bios
Jodie Adams has 35 years of service with Springfield-Greene County Park Board
in Missouri and is currently serving as the Director of Parks. She is former
President of the National Recreation and Parks Association (2008-2009), and
has served on the NRPA Board of Directors, the annual Congress Program Committee,
the Great Lakes Regional Council, and the Council of State Affiliate Presidents.
Jodie graduated from Missouri State University with a Degree in Recreation/Administration
and completed her Post-Graduate work in Public Administration.
Dawn Ewing is
the Executive Director of Project Morry. Prior to joining Project Morry, Dawn
worked with Amy and Morry Stein at Camp Echo Lake as an Associate Director.
She received a B.S. degree from the University of Maine. She is a former American
Camp Association National and New York Section board member, current Program
Chair for the Tri-State Camp Conference, member of the New York State Safety
Advisory Council and an American Camp Association Standards Visitor for camp
accreditation.
Dr. Peggy Riggs holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership
and Policy Analysis from the University of Missouri and is currently the Deputy
Superintendent of Operations for Springfield Public Schools in Missouri. Dr.
Riggs co-presented at the National Parks and Recreation Conference on School-Park
Programming in 2005 and 2002. She co-authored and published "Dissolving
the Barriers to Successful Community Programming-Getting the Keys to the Castle" in "National
Parks and Recreation Association" Journal, 2006. Dr. Riggs has been named
one of the "20 Most Influential Women" for the Springfield Business
Journal in 2006. |
