CECs: 1.5

In this webinar, we will challenge common myths of adolescence, review the facts, and apply this information to camp staff training. Camp might be an especially important setting for today's teens, as camp forces young people out of their digital comfort zones and into real-life situations that encourage the development of interpersonal problem-solving skills, self-control, and citizenship.

By the end of this webinar, participants will learn to:

  • Debunk common myths of adolescence and understand the facts,
  • Challenge the common, negative stereotypes of teenage behavior
  • Apply specific training strategies targeted to staff who work with teens
