Rocky Mountain Camp Tours

We hope you can join us for a fantastic day of Colorado camp tours and the opportunity to connect with others in the ACA community! We will visit Go West Camps, Sanborn Western Camps, and Blue Mountain Ranch Camp, Each tour highlights different program and facility areas unique to each camp!

This is an open invitation to all ACA members and non-members; we encourage you to invite your emerging professional staff, program staff, and facility folks.

This is a free event, and lunch will be provided. Please RSVP by April 15.

SCHEDULE:
*Note: We will do our best to follow the schedule below, but we may have traffic or other delays on the tour and could return as late as 6 pm.

• 9:30 - Meet at Go West (8850 Link Rd, Fountain, CO 80817)
  • Attendees can drive themselves to all the camps, or cars can be left at Go West, and transportation (passenger vans or school bus TBD) will be provided from there
• 10 - 11:30 Tour Go West - Farm and Eagle View camp location
  • Highlights: Farm and garden program (pet a llama!), explore the logistics of an outdoor adventure day camp with a school home base, budgeting for camp programs.
• 11:30 - 12:30 Drive to Blue Mountain (11227 Co Rd 98, Florissant, CO 80816)
• 12:30 – Lunch (provided by ACA)
• 1 - 2: Tour Blue Mountain
  • Highlights: Explore the legacy of a camp started in 1946! Homestead buildings, cabin tours, rock wall, swimming pool, barn, and ropes course.
• 2 - 3:45 Drive to Sanborn, Tour Sanborn (2000 Old Stage Rd, Florissant, CO 80816)
  • Highlights: Cabin tours, horseback riding program, interactive learning center, comparing two camp programs.
• 3:45 - 4:45: Drive back to Go West
• 5: Arrive at Go West
• 6: Optional Dinner Social, location TBA
