The primary purpose of the American Red Cross Lifeguarding Instructor Course is to train instructors to teach the basic-level American Red Cross Lifeguarding courses.
Course will be conducted at the Lelia Patterson Center in Fletcher, NC (just outside Asheville NC). Class will run during the following sessions:
5/6/24 - 1:00P-5:00P
5/7/24 - 8:30P-5:30P
5/8/24 - 8:30P-5:30P
Instructor candidates must hold a current Lifeguarding certification from the American Red Cross and be at least 17 years old. The course includes practice teaching assignments in water and on land. This course will be conducted using the r.24 newly revised curriculum. There is an option to recertify your basic-level lifeguarding certification if you are also taking the LGI.
