ACA Standards Course

The ACA Standards Course serves as an introduction to ACA's accreditation program and helps participants prepare for accreditation visits. The course describes the purpose and value of standards and accreditation and provides explanations on how the accreditation process works as well as the resources and materials available for programs seeking accreditation. The course offers discussion about specific standard requirements including: application of core and specialized activity standards, mandatory standards, and written documentation requirements. This course is appropriate for individuals who are NEW to the accreditation process and have not previously been involved in the preparation of materials for an accreditation visit. An updated 2012 Accreditation Process Guide (APG) is needed for this course. This course is appropriate for camps seeking accreditation for 2015 and for camps that may seek accreditation in the future.
