ACA Webinar - Understanding Differences Between Homesickness, Separation Anxiety and Normal Anxiety

This webinar provides an introduction to childhood anxiety, both normal and extreme, and how those anxieties might affect the experiences of youth campers. The American Academy of Pediatrics has reported that pediatricians are seeing rising levels of anxiety in their patients; educators are seeing higher levels of anxiety in parents. Dr. Thompson will help camp directors and staff who may find themselves be in the position of distinguishing between bad cases of homesickness and severe levels of separation anxiety disorder, while also talking to highly anxious parents on the phone.
