With 25% of the U.S. population identifying as LGBTQQIA, organizations must ask: is my camp safe and inclusive to LGBTQ campers, staff, families and communities? This interactive session introduces critical thinking techniques designed to develop an inclusive community at camp by assessing current inclusiveness, overcoming outdated methods of practice and creating organizational change. Topics covered include: comprehensive terminology, policy design, staff training tools and resources, facility/programming/activities assessment and LGBTQ advocacy-based toolkit.
