Wilderness First Aid Training

American Red Cross Wilderness and Remote First Aid course will provide individuals a foundation of first aid principles and skills to be able to respond to emergencies and give care in areas that do not have immediate emergency medical services (EMS) response. This includes wilderness and remote environments, including urban disasters, such as earthquakes and hurricanes. With an emphasis on outdoor injuries such as heat exhaustion, submersion incidents, and altitude sickness, this first aid course is perfect for camp staff going on off site trips or for the Health Officer. Certification will be valid for two years. The approximate length of the course is 16 hours. Call to register (269-731-3030). The registration deadline is May 14, 2015. Questions?
