Wilderness First Aid Course
The Wilderness Medicine Institute, an institute
of the National Outdoor Leadership School,
and YMCA Camp Collins, will be offering a
two-day, 16-hour Wilderness First Aid course.
When: December 5-6, 2009
Where: Gresham, Oregon
The Wilderness First Aid course covers wilderness
medicine topics for people who travel and
work in the outdoors. This course is ideal
for trip leaders, camp staff, and outdoor
educators. Anyone 16 and older can participate.
WMI provides the highest quality education
and information for the recognition, treatment,
and prevention of wilderness emergencies.
Students will learn treatment principles
and decision-making skills. WMI’s course
is pre-approved by the American Camp Association.
