Description of Grant: 
The goal of the Whale Tail Grants Program, an initiative of the California Coastal Commission, is to support projects that teach California’s children and the general public to value and take action to improve the health of the state’s coast, marine life, and watersheds that connect with the coast. Funded projects should fall into one of the following categories: Adopt-A-Beach programs, youth programs, or programs for the general public. Priority is given to projects that reach communities that are currently poorly served in terms of marine and coastal education.
