The Sunderland Foundation primarily supports nonprofit organizations in Arkansas, western Iowa, Kansas, western Missouri, and Nebraska. Currently, the Foundation's main areas of interest include higher education, youth services, arts and culture, and healthcare and hospitals. The focus is on funding bricks and mortar projects such as building construction, renovation, repairs, and restoration. Grant requests are accepted throughout the year and reviewed quarterly. The Georgia Natural Gas Corporate Giving Program supports a wide range of nonprofit organizations in the communities throughout the state that the company serves. Grantmaking areas of interest include the following: children and youth, education, seniors, energy assistance for consumers in need, environment and sustainability, and meaningful educational and cultural opportunities for the entire community. Funding requests may be submitted throughout the year.

The Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) provides grants to states and local governments (and to certain private nonprofit organizations) to implement long-term hazard mitigation measures after a major disaster declaration. The purpose of the HMGP is to reduce the loss of life and property due to natural disasters and to enable mitigation measures to be implemented during the immediate recovery from a disaster.
