Wastewater treatment & legislation- survey
Wastewater is generally handled through a Regional Sewer District (RSD) system, a city sewer system or a private septic system(s). As some of you may or may not be aware, there were 2 legislative bills this spring (HB1117 and HB 1225) that dealt with various issues regarding Regional Sewer Districts (RSD) including forced hookup, clarification of the difference between RV campsites and Youth Camps/camp beds, and metering vs a reasonable EDU rate.
Many of the changes still needed for fairness and reasonableness will need to go through the Legislature. In order to develop this organized approach, we need to have a clear understanding of the current status of camps as well as anticipated future issues so we can have a stronger voice for Indiana Camping.
