31st! Every camp director is encouraged to complete
the survey online to share
details about camper enrollment and staff recruitment for Summer 2008.
We need every camp's participation in this survey if we are to tell our

Preliminary Data From Year Three of the
Healthy Camp Study
This summer ACA finished
Year Three of the five-year Healthy Camp
Study. A total
of 177 camps reported data (an almost 20
percent increase over last year!). Most
camps (80 percent) taking this survey reported
being either very satisfied or somewhat satisfied
with the Healthy Camp Study. Several
camps also reported having utilized the online
courses as part of staff training, with over
nine in ten camps that used these interventions
saying they would recommend them to other

learn more about these courses. The day and
resident camp reports will be completed over
the next two-to-three months and mailed to
participating camps in December. Special
thanks to all camps who participated in Year
Three. Don't forget, the opportunity
to get involved in Year Four of the Healthy
Camp Study is just around the corner. New
