How do I hire
staff who live outside the U.S.?
Since ACA is not a designated cultural exchange
agency, we are NOT able to help you arrange any type of visa. However,
you are encouraged to contact International
Staff Placement Organizations who can help you.
How can I
get a visa for a person who lives outside
the U.S. who contacted me directly to
work at my camp?
In short, you MUST go through a designated cultural
exchange agency. The International
Staff Placement Organizations can help you.
Can I keep
international staff in the U.S. for an
extended period of time?
For the future success of the cultural exchange
program, all camps should strongly encourage their international
staff to return to their originating country after their
experience at camp is over. The J1 visa allows international
staff to work for four months in the U.S. followed by a 30-day
grace
period for the purposes of travel only. It is against State Dept. regulations
to work during the grace period. This four-month period cannot be extended.
What are the

staff?
