Images for Print
.tif
This type of file can be used for professional
or office print projects. These images can be
reduced but not enlarged. The .tif image will
degrade if enlarged.
.eps
This type of file is recommended for professional
print projects, because it can be enlarged infinitely.
Since .eps files are postscript files, they print
best on printers with postscript capability.
.psd
This file was developed for Adobe Photoshop and is preferred by many designers
because it is by far the most versatile as long as the files are not flattened
(i.e., the individual layers are kept separate from each other). The file can
be reduced, but do not enlarge a .psd file because it will degrade. |
