American Camp Association Joins Popular Morning Show The Balancing Act on Lifetime

Camp Segment Airs on Friday, March 11
Indianapolis, IN (March 9, 2011) — The American Camp Association® (ACA) is pleased to announce their participation in a camp segment on The Balancing Act which airs on Lifetime Television. The O2 Media produced program on Lifetime Television airs at 7:00 a.m. (ET/PT), and is America’s premier morning show that’s about women, for women, and trusted by women.
The segment, which features ACA chief executive officer Peg Smith, will air at 7:00 a.m. (ET/PT) on Lifetime Television, and will update viewers on today’s camp options and explain how the “camp experience” can benefit both children and parents.
“The camp experience helps develop life skills such as independence and leadership,” Smith says. “It creates authentic relationships, allows children to participate in human-powered activities, and provides children the opportunity to surround themselves with the natural world.
