Accreditation Process Guide, 2012 Edition Now Available!

The 2012 edition of the Accreditation Process Guide (APG) has just been released and is on the way to local offices. Camps will begin using this set of standards at their NEXT on-site accreditation visit (e.g., camps being visited in 2012 and after will use these revised standards). As stated in the required Annual Statement of Compliance, an accredited camp is continuing to meet the standards under which it was last visited as well as all applicable mandatory standards. Current visitors and camps going through an accreditation visit in 2012 will receive a complimentary copy of the new APG. Be watching for additional information about the APG and changes to the accreditation process in the next few months.

Camp directors/administrators

Camp directors/administrators should contact their local office to find out when/how the complimentary copies of the Accreditation Process Guide will be distributed for camps going through the accreditation process. It is normally the fall/winter PRIOR to their accreditation visit. ACA accreditation visitors will also receive their complimentary copy through their local office.
