Interested in ACA Accreditation and/or get a head start on 2014 preparations! ACA's Standards course serves as an introduction to ACA's Standards Program and helps participants prepare for accreditation visits. The course describes the purpose and value of standards and accreditation, and gives an explanation of how the process works and what resources and materials are available. The course offers specific discussion about the requirements of the standards, including: application of the core and specialized activity standards, mandatory standards, and written documentation requirements. There is no charge for this course. Please bring a lunch. A 2012 Accreditation Process Guide (APG) is needed for this course. Come get "working" on summer 2013! Please join us for “Camp Works”, ACA, Northern California’s Spring Conference. “Camp Works” will be held at Mt. Hermon Conference Center, located in the Santa Cruz mountains, and will feature a welcome by Bob Ditter, a variety of breakout sessions, skills trainings and many opportunities for networking. Bob Ditter will also be presenting CAMP “STEP” (Specific Training for Emerging Professionals). This track is designed to ratchet up the child behavior management skill level of young directors and/or mid-level staff.

Participants will learn to teach basic archery skills to beginners. The course covers range safety, range set-up, basic equipment setup and repair, and how to teach the basic steps of shooting. Participants who successfully complete the course will be certified for three years. The course is part of ACA, Northern California's Spring Conference, "Camp Works." Archery participants may register for archery only or archery and the conference.
