Light a Spark, Flex a Brain: A Day with Jim Cain
Spend a day with Jim Cain in an experiental learning day about cutting edge youth development strategies that are helping young people thrive--at camp, after school, in school and other places where young people gather. We've combined the experiential learning skills offered by a guru of teamwork, teamplay, community, and connection, Jim Cain, AND the cutting edge youth development concepts of thriving for a day filled with learning and fun for adults who work with youth. •Learn how to help young people identify their SPARKS-their inner passions-which is a catalyst for thriving. •Understand how the brain thinks thoughts-to help young people (and adults!) develop strategies for helping their brain to adapt and grow-even in the face of adversity. •Explore ways to maximize growth in the indicators of thriving for all youth. •Using a simple acronym-GPS-help young people develop goal management skills that build their indicators of thriving.
