Dr. Tina Payne Bryson is the co-author of the best-selling THE WHOLE-BRAIN CHILD, which has now been published in seventeen languages. She speaks internationally to parents, educators, and clinicians, and she consults with residential camps all across the country. She makes frequent media appearances, most recently on “Good Morning America” and in Redbook Magazine. Tina earned her Ph.D. from the University of Southern California, where her research explored attachment science, childrearing theory, and the emerging field of interpersonal neurobiology. Adam, Wharton’s youngest tenured professor, has been recognized as the highest-rated teacher, one of BusinessWeek’s favorite professors, and one of the world’s forty best business professors under forty. He is the author of The New York Times and Wall Street Journal bestseller Give and Take: A Revolutionary Approach to Success. He earned his PhD in organizational psychology from the University of Michigan and his BA from Harvard University. He has appeared on CNN and CBC and designed several experiential learning activities based on The Apprentice in which students have raised over $175,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation while developing leadership, influence, networking, and collaboration skills.

Inspired by a childhood divided between an urban home and a working ranch, Rue Mapp founded Outdoor Afro, an online community that reconnects African Americans with natural spaces and one another through outdoor activities. She now advises on a number of national initiatives that aim to connect more diverse participation in the outdoors, was appointed to the National Parks Committee on Relevancy, and invited to take part in a think-tank to inform the launch of the Let’s Move campaign. She currently serves as a program officer for the Foundation for Youth Investment to oversee its grant making to help programs connect underserved California youth to the outdoors.
