Purpose:
Examine the effects of an ethnic awareness and spirituality focused camp experience on self- esteem.
Sample:
2-week Greek Orthodox summer camp in Greece, 248 American children of Greek descent ages 12 -18. Grouped 12-15 and 16-18
Methods/Instruments:
Pre-, Post- test, Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSE)
Results:
- Significant increase in self-esteem scores.
- 16-18 age group scored significantly higher than 12-15 age group on both pre- and post- tests for self-esteem.
