*OUTDOOR PROGRAM SPECIALIST - VIRGINIA
Green Adventure Project (nonprofit hands-on environmental education program provider) and Charlottesville Challenge Course (high and low ropes course) are seeking an Outdoor Program Specialist to teach and lead groups during environmental, outdoor, team-building, leadership-building and experiential education programs for children, youth and adults. Day and overnight programs are held at on and off-site locations. The Specialist is in a leadership role with part-time staff and responsible for program supply management. Program time will be divided between outdoor experiential education programs including biology, ecology, chemistry, and physical science and team building facilitation including high and low ropes course activities. Possible overnight trips rock climbing, canoeing and backpacking. Position is based at Triple C Camp, five miles south of Charlottesville. Requires: Experience with children/youth, natural history and ecological systems knowledge, team building and high ropes course experience, outgoing, flexible, excellent communication skills, highly reliable and responsible. DIRECTOR OF AUXILIARY SERVICES - VIRGINIA
Burgundy Farm Country Day School seeks a Director of Auxiliary Services to direct and operate the school’s Summer Day Camp and Extended Day activities. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in teaching, recreational program development, managing employees, and developing and tracking budgets. In addition to these qualities the ideal candidate will have Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and 2-4 years of experience in a related field. He or she will possess strong interpersonal skills – exceptional oral and written communication and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. He or she must be able to work interdependently, exercising sound judgment, and handle confidential matters with appropriate discretion.
