- All currently accredited camps must sign the 2012 Annual Statement of Compliance. This required document can be found online at: www.ACAcamps.org/soc [1]. To request a paper document, contact accreditation@ACAcamps.org [2].
- As stated in the Statement of Compliance, all camps must meet the current, applicable mandatory standards (as well as all standards under which the camp was last visited). To view the 2012 edition of mandatory standards, visit: www.ACAcamps.org/accreditation/mandatory-stds [3].
- For all camps being visited in 2012, it is important to make sure you have updated your Accreditation Process Guide, 2012 Edition (APG) with the “pull and replace” pages found at: www.ACAcamps.org/sites/default/files/images/accreditation/standards/ACA-APG-2012RevisionPacket.pdf [4].
- Due to the late fall 2012 change in mandatory Standard HW.23 (staff health history) — to bring this standard into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act regulations and based on EEOC guidelines — camps will be able to score YES on standard HW.23 if it meets the standard as originally printed (in the September 2011 release of the APG) or the recently revised standard. This will be in effect for 2012 only. To read the reason behind the change to this standard, please see page four of the document found at: www.ACAcamps.org/sites/default/files/images/accreditation/standards/Clarification-Revisions-2012-APG-Jan-2102-inclusive-B.pdf [5].
