What does PD-12 mean?! This is a comprehensive training day training program staff to supervise a variety of specialized activities at camp. For Accredited camps, the day will help ensure you are compliant with Program Design Standard 12 - Staff Qualifications and Supervision for Specialized Activities. The Standard states that the camp will "provide an overall supervisor for each type of specialized activity who is an adult with certification, earned within the past three (3) years..." PD-12 Training Day will offer skills training for fire building, candle making, whisper lights, camp stoves, outdoor cooking, axes, hatchets, pocket knives, bow saws, hand drills, knots, and archery. Location: Camp Namanu in Sandy, OR. Cost of training: $10/person or $100/organization. AM, PM, and all day training options available.
