Programs for Camps

ACA is pleased to make the following programs avaiable to camps and other youth-serving organizations.  Directors and educators are encouraged to explore how the following programs can enhance their organizational and program goals.

Healthy Camp Education and Monitoring Program - Project to explore the intersections of technology, camp health care, and professional development.  New professional development opportunities for camp directors, camp health care providers, and staff will be developed and new resources will be made available to camps and other youth program providers through this project.

Explore 30 Camp Reading Program - Explore 30 is a FREE program for camps and other youth development organizations interested in starting either a formal or informal reading program. Participating camps commit to providing youth with at least 30 minutes of reading time per day.  Camps can receive access to reading resources and also have the opportunity to join in advocacy efforts to increase the recognition of and support for the value of the camp experience as a vital component in the development and education of the whole child.

Camp2Grow Youth Leadership and Environmental Stewardship Program - Camp 2 Grow was a 3-year program that provided youth with leadership knowledge and nature-based problem solving experience and taught them a framework for implementing environmental stewardship projects in their camps, homes, or communities.

NatureRocks - Designed to help camps market programs to parents and connect children and nature.  Camps can access the FREE "NatureRocks Toolkit for Camps."
