National Small Business Week, June 16–22, 2013

Since its very beginning, innovation and entrepreneurship have been essential to our nation; it is no mistake these traits are so readily reflected in the small businesses of America — and namely, camps. Camps operating as small businesses encompass the courage and willingness to work hard toward a higher calling. They have shaped the lives of so many for over 150 years, operating with heart, know-how, and, often, wisdom shared between generations. Camps are some of the most essential small businesses in America, and I encourage you to review the resources below as we continue our efforts to support the important work you do. — Peg Smith, CEO

This year's small business week focuses on helping small businesses start, grow, and succeed. Camps are an excellent example of the small businesses that have shaped America for more than 150 years!

Resources for Camps as Small Businesses

America's small businesses reflect the best of who we are as a Nation — daring and innovative, courageous and hopeful, always working hard and looking ahead for that next great idea. They are our economy's engine and our biggest source of new jobs. — President Barack Obama, June 14, 2013
