A long, long time ago…
  • Once upon a time, there was a “Grey Binder” that was full of information!

  • Everyone wondered how it would stay current. People looked at each other and rolled their eyes. So instead, it just sat on everyone’s shelf and collected dust.

  • As time went by people hardly ever looked to the “Grey Binder” for information to guide them and teach them…

  • So, it’s life has always been uneventful.  Now there is something else to take its place.

Legislative Web Utility
  • The LWU is a resourceful tool full of useful links to help you find information that can guide you to improve your camp:
    • Health and Safety Information
    • Natural Disaster Tips
    • Current Camping Regulations
    • Transporting campers in buses and 15-Passenger Vans
    • Tax Information
    • Employment of students and international employees
    • You can search through current regulations, camping standards, many camping references, and today’s law!
5
What are those again?
  • Standards = The “minimum” requirement of an average performance that is determined by the general consent of a professional society (ACA).
  • Reference = A source of information and/or an aid to be used as an advisory. An adaptable tool to one’s specific situations.
  • Law = A mandatory statute made by our government.
  • Regulation = A rule based on the law that implements the law.
