Call for Proposals: Camp Staff Training Day – Los Angeles
ACA, Southern California/Hawaii is seeking workshops for Camp Staff Training Day – Los Angeles (June 1, 2013) that help to build the skills, passion and capacity of front-line and management staff to facilitate and support the development of fun, safe and high quality programs. The target audience of the event is front line camp staff with a small selection of workshops available for supervisors. To submit a proposal, please complete the online form below.

- Games – “just for fun” games, teambuilding games, hip pocket activities, ice breakers
- Songs
- Supervising campers
- Discipline techniques for campers
- Problem solving with campers/dispute resolution
- Identifying & responding to relational aggression/bullying
- Inclusion and special needs
- Field trips – how to supervise and coordinate
- Bus supervision and programming
- Creating “whimsy” at camp
- Fun programming ideas (i.e. special events, treasure hunts, etc…)
- How to incorporate kids’ input into programming
- Communication
- Leadership/leadership styles
- Leading large groups
- Skills/activities, i.e. art, dance, nature, cooking
- Rainy day activities
