This year, we’re taking registrations for Camp Staff Training Day a little differently. Instead of registering specific staff, you will buy “passes” for the event – this way, you only need to know the number of passes – not the names of who is coming (# of passes = # of participants). REFUND POLICY:  No refunds for cancellations unless written request is postmarked by
May 10, 2013;  50% of registration fee will be retained for processing.  All payments must be received by the event date.

Keynote Presenter Michelle Cummings

Michelle Cummings is the Big Wheel and creator of her business, Training Wheels Inc.  Training Wheels is a known leader in the portable, adventure equipment industry and prides itself on creating quality, affordable activities, books and trainings for those seeking experiential resources.  Michelle has created a wide variety of facilitation, debriefing and reviewing activities that have collectively changed the way experiential educators and trainers do their work.

Michelle has facilitated for a range of programs from therapeutic populations, corporate and school groups to train the trainer programs for professionals.  She has authored three books:
A Teachable MomentA Facilitator's Guide to Activities for Processing, Debriefing, Reviewing and ReflectionBouldering Games for Kids:  An Educational Guide for Traverse Walls; and Playing With a Full Deck:  52 Team Activities Using a Deck of Cards.  Michelle grew up on a farm in Norton, Kansas and currently lives in Littleton, Colorado with her husband Paul and two sons Dawson and Dylan.

Camp Songs/Skits "Competition" at Lunch

Join us during lunch for a fast-paced, exciting and silly campfire competition - bringing together the favorite songs & skits of every camp at the event.  Work with your camp team ahead of time to choose your favorite song or skit to perform and take center stage at lunch in all your camp's glory! Then, hear what other camps come up with and walk away with tons of new ideas that you can bring back to your camp program!

Call for Proposals

ACA, Southern California/Hawaii is seeking workshops for Camp Staff Training Day – Los Angeles that help to build the skills, passion and capacity of front-line and management staff to facilitate and support the development of fun, safe and high quality programs.  The target audience of the event is front line camp staff with a small selection of workshops available for supervisors.
