Application & Registration

Cost:  $150*

Registration will open in Fall 2013.

Cost includes $35 program fee and $115 fee for room and board.  Program material, overnight accommodations on Sunday & Monday and all meals during the retreat will be provided. SCLA will also provide ground transportation to the retreat location at no additional cost.  Fees can be paid by the applicant or a sponsor (ACA local field office, camp, university, etc...).

*NOTE:  In addition to paying registration fees, successful completion of the SCLA Application Process & acceptance by the SCLA -West Committee is required.  Applicants who will be using airline transportation should not book their flights until acceptance into the program has been confirmed.  If an applicant is not accepted, registration fees will be refunded.

REFUND POLICY:  No refunds for cancellations unless a written request is postmarked by 
February 21, 2014; 50% of the registration fee will be retained for processing. All payments must be received by the event date.

  1. Become an ACA member.  ACA currently has a special promotion for a free 1 year membership.  To sign up, click here.
     
  2. Pay registration fees.  Click on the link above or call (800) 428-2267.  Registration will open in Fall 2013.
     
  3. Complete the Application Form.  Download Application (writeable PDF).
     
  4. Complete the Addendum:  Scholarship Request if you'd like to be considered for a scholarship (optional - Scholarship Addendum is the final page of the Application).
     
  5. Obtain a letter of support from a camp professional.
     
  6. Include a current resume in the application materials.
     
  7. Submit application materials (Application Form, resume and letter of support) to:  lreppert@ACAcamps.org or fax:  (213) 232-3229 by February 21, 2014.  
     
  8. Notice of acceptance will be given no later than March 7, 2014.  Applicants who require airline transportation should not book their flights until acceptance into the program has been confirmed.

Scholarships Available!

Scholarships are available for qualified applicants - selection will be based on the quality of applications submitted.  Scholarship awards will cover the cost of registration fees ($150) - if selected, participants are responsible for the cost of travel to the retreat location.  If you'd like to be considered for a scholarship, complete the "Scholarship Option" section of the application. Scholarship applications are due February 21, 2014:  awardees will be notified by March 7, 2014. For SCLA applicants who are accepted into the program but not awarded a scholarship, registration fees are due March 14, 2014.
