Course Description
You'll learn how to set up and operate a safe short-term archery program , how to teach new archers, how to maintain your equipment, and how to create fun games for your new archers.  And you’ll learn how to teach an introduction to the Drills & Skills training program , which teach new archers the basic skills they’ll need to be successful quickly.  Certification is valid for 3 years; courses are open to any person in the year of their 16 th birthday.
 
ACA Archery Skills will be reviewed and discussed.
 
Instructor 
Coaching and instructing youth archery since 1989, John Kristoff of Lifetime Archery from Raleigh , NC will share his insight and experience with you.  As a Level Three instructor for both the National Archery Association and the National Field Archery Association he brings a great base of knowledge for instructors of all experiences and needs.

Basic Archery Instructor (Level 1) Certification

Cost: $85 (Includes lunch, training material & certification fee)
Overnight accommodations and breakfast for an additional $20 per night

Camp Riflery Instructor Certification
(Civilian Marksmanship Program certification)
Tuesday, May 20-Thursday, May 22
Starting at noon Tuesday and ending by noon Thursday ET
Strong Rock Camp, Cleveland , GA
Max number: 10

Cost: $205 (Includes 5 meals starting with dinner Tuesday, two nights’ accommodations, training material & certification fee)
Overnight accommodations and one meal for an additional $20 per night

The goal is to train individuals who will work as camp riflery instructors so that they can give competent instruction, teach rifle marksmanship and operate a camp range safely. This 20-hour course teaches safe marksmanship, proper shooting techniques and instructor methods for group control and formatting. No previous experience necessary.

USA Archery Level 1 Basic Certified Instructor Training
June 9 8:30am – 5pm | Camp Low Country, Cordesville, SC
Cost : $30

Camp Low Country will be hosting a USA Archery Level 1 Basic Certified Instructor Course. By becoming a Level 1 instructor you will be able to use the council’s archery equipment. Your troop can progress through the council’s Archery Program at your own pace. This course is intended to be taken by persons with no experience in the sport of archery. Level 1 Certification is good for 3 years. Cost includes lunch that day and overnight accommodations will be available at an additional fee. Camp Low Country is located just off of Highway 402 in Cordesville, South Carolina, approximately 35 miles west of Charleston.
