Pottery Staff Training Sessions

Session One: Hand Building Basics
9am - 11am, Cost is $25
Participants will learn how to use pinch, coil, and slab methods of pottery construction to create an array of kid friendly projects. Creating structurally sound, safe ware will be discussed along with using and finding tools of the trade.

Session Two: Wheel Throwing Basics
12:30pm - 2:30pm, Cost is $25
Participants will be taught how to properly prepare clay for throwing as well as the basic skills necessary for creating on the wheel.

Session Three: Technical Instruction
3pm - 5pm, Cost is $25
Participants will learn about the technical aspects of creating with clay. Preparing ware for bisque/glaze firing willb e discussed along with firing schedules and tricks on how to process ware within a limited time frame.

If participants attend all three sessions, the total cost is $65.
