Lifeguard Certification

9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. each day

Lifeguarding: This class includes Lifeguard Certification, First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer (CPR/PR), and AED training. You will learn about the duties and responsibilities of a lifeguard and how to carry them out in a professional manner. You will learn and practice prevention techniques, how to use rescue equipment, water rescues, and how to respond to a suspected spinal injury.

Small Craft Safety- Canoeing Certification

Small Craft (Canoeing): You will earn your Small Craft Safety- Canoeing certification. This training is intended for participants who are already skilled at paddling and handling canoes. You will learn basic water rescues, small craft accident prevention, supervision of boating, and
emergency preparation and response. This course has physically demanding requirements such as the participant being able to pull themselves into a canoe from the water.

9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Lunch is provided.

You will also practice the shot process and learn common shooting errors, along with learning fun games to play with your participants.

American Red Cross Camp Health Officer Training

Training begins June 9 at 10 AM and is completed on June 12 at 2:00 PM. The package includes three nights and ten meals and all the certifications necessary to be a Camp Health Officer in Michigan. 

The office at Wildwood Ranch is handling all the administrative details for this event. The cost is $375.00. Please make checks payable to "Wildwood Ranch". Registration and payment are due by Friday May 26, 2017.

American Red Cross Camp Health Officer Training

Training begins May 26 at 10 AM and is completed on May 28 at 2:00 PM. The package includes three nights and seven meals and all the certifications necessary to be a Camp Health Officer in Michigan. 

Cost is $350.00. Please makes checks payable to "Wildwood Ranch". Registration and payment are due by Friday May 12, 2017.

Basic Standards Course - ACA, Illinois and Mid States Camp Conference

The ACA Standards Course is specifically designed to help prepare people who are NEW to the accreditation process for their accreditation visits, and to serve as an introduction to the standards program for those interested in becoming accreditation visitors. The camp may or may not be currently accredited. A person completing the ACA Standards Course on behalf of a camp is expected to actively assist the camp in preparation for the accreditation visit, be on site a significant amount of time during the camp season, and participate fully in the on-site accreditation visit.

Standards Update Course - ACA, Illinois and Mid States Camp Conference

The Standards Update Course is designed for the camp director or staff member who has been actively involved in the preparation of materials and the on-site visit at an ACA-accredited camp in the recent past.
