Come join us for a morning of food, networking and an interactive sharing session facilitated by one of our local camp hosts listed below, surrounding the new accreditation cycle and the annual accreditation report, followed by a post camp season debrief. Come prepared with your hits and misses over the summer to share with the group!
The Associate Visitor Course provides training to individuals who wish to volunteer to conduct accreditation visits. Participants will learn the roles and responsibilities of a visitor, including legal implications of visitor actions; develop information-gathering skills; and learn to use resources available to make consistent compliance decisions. Participants will also understand the educational value of the accreditation process and become positive representatives and advocates for ACA. There is no charge for this course.
The Mid-Atlantic Camp Conference will feature Bob Ditter, Blake Sunshine and two full days of educational and networking opportunities. Come connect with other camp professionals, share lessons learned from last summer and kick off planning for this summer. Sessions will be offered on a wide range of topics including business development, program/process improvement and staff management.
