Archery Training - Level 1

USA Archery Level 1 certification provides the skills to run a safe and enjoyable Archery program in a camp setting. After successful completion of this course and a written and skills test participants will receive a USA Level 1 Instructor Certification valid for 3 years. Please bring a sack lunch.

Jewish Outdoor Leadership Training (JOLT)

JOLT is a five-day educational course focusing on outdoor camping and travel trip safety, teva (nature) learning, and fun outdoor Jewish education. This training is designed for outdoor camping and travel staff, as well as for teva (nature) staff working at Jewish camps across North America that offer programs in wilderness adventure travel, travel in urban areas, day trips, overnight camping, and in-camp nature programs. Standards Update Course - ACA, Northern California

The Standards Update Course is designed for the camp director or staff member who has been actively involved in the preparation of materials and the on-site visit at an ACA-accredited camp in the recent past. A person completing the ACA Standards Course on behalf of a camp is expected to actively assist the camp in preparation for the accreditation visit, be on site a significant amount of time during the camp season, and participate fully in the on-site accreditation visit.

Basic Standards Course - ACA, Northern California

The ACA Basic Standards Course is specifically designed to help prepare people who are NEW to the accreditation process for their accreditation visits, and to serve as an introduction to the standards program for those interested in becoming accreditation visitors. The camp may or may not be currently accredited. A person completing the ACA Standards Course on behalf of a camp is expected to actively assist the camp in preparation for the accreditation visit, be on site a significant amount of time during the camp season, and participate fully in the on-site accreditation visit.

ACA, Northern California New Director Orientation (NDO)

New Director Orientation (NDO) is a special seven hour course (7 CECs) for seasonal or new camp directors, assistant directors, program directors, or persons that have been in other administrative positions and are considering directing a camp. The NDO course helps directors and supervisors develop the skills they need to be effective leaders for their camp program. The course covers five critical areas: camp management leadership, risk management, camper behavior, staff training, and staff supervision. Lunch & snacks provided.

ACA, Northern California - Visitor Education Event

Just for visitors! An informative visitor training on the new operational process as well as additional enrichment for visitors. This day will help you in your visitor role and also help you as you work with your own camp through Accreditation. As well, a great network time with other visitors. BONUS! Lunch will be provided! This training is not a required, but all visitors are highly encouraged to attend.
