Your sponsored educational webinar is a basic introduction or overview of an educational subject matter. This subject or topic should somehow relate to your business. However, it can also be viewed as a chance to build relationships and connect with potential customers by demonstrating your value proposition and granting them access to industry experts. Ultimately, this could be an opportunity to convert leads into paying customers.

Pricing:  Educational Webinar Content

Cost: $8,000 for members and $10,000 for nonmembers, with a 30 percent discount available for nonprofits.

  • Content recorded and hosted by an ACA staff member for quality control and editorial oversight.
  • Medical-related blogs will be charged an additional $600 for expert review.
  • ACA reserves the right to refuse specific topics and provide feedback or fact-checking on topic selection.
  • Educational Webinars will be recorded in advance and not offered in a live format or listed as an “event“ in the ACA events calendar.
  • Your finally edited webinar will be included in a sponsored tile in an ACA Now issue, ACA's membership electronic newsletter (emailed to almost 19,000 camp professionals with an average open rate of 45 percent)

How to Submit:

Email your educational webinar to kfitzgerald@ACAcamps.org.  If it meets editorial standards and aligns with our mission and values, we will respond to let you know your webinar will start in production and be sent an invoice. Editing may take up to four weeks before a final webinar is ready to be featured in ACA Now.

Please note that ACA will not publish and will reject all submissions that solicit or sell any product or personal service of any kind or have clear link-building intent. Our content is relevant and profound, providing the utmost value of the camp experience to our readers.

  • Well-written content for your webinar
  • Please consider fresh and relevant content or repurposed content with new/additional information that clearly shows a difference from the original content.
  • A webinar that reflects the writing style and tone of ACA
  • The length of the webinar should be no more than 30 - 45 minutes.
  •  Upon review, we will include a personal or business email and/or web URL and the end of your webinar.
  • Proper attribution of facts, quotes, etc., referenced in the webinar.
  • Post submitted in Word document. Please send images (JPEG or PNG files) as separate attachments and with attributions.
  • Submissions must meet the ACA editorial and mission guidelines.
  • Avoid being self-promotional in the webinar.

Bundle and save 15 percent:

Bundle your sponsored educational webinar with an educational blog and save 15 percent. The cost is $8,500 for members and $11,050 for nonmembers, with a 30 percent discount available for nonprofits. You get all the benefits listed above plus:

You can purchase ACA's stock images at $250 / per image or use your own stock photo sized 1700px x 900px with image attribution.

You will first create content to place on ACA's Product Spotlight page.  We will need the following to create your web page:

  1. Title for your page
  2. Two to three short paragraphs — no more than 5 sentences each
  3. A photo if you would like us to use one

  5. If using a video, it must be hosted on YouTube or Vimeo.  You will send that link along with your content.

New Products and Services Advertising

Post a short description of your product or service. Your posting will remain on this page for six months.

To qualify for a posting, you must:

  1. Be an active ACA Business Affiliate. Not a member? Join today.
  2. Post must be about a new service or product that has not been promoted to ACA camps in the past.
  3. Send a paragraph, no more than two (equivalent to a half-page), about your product or service to affiliation@acacamps.org.  If you send more, ACA has the right to edit to a half-page.  Include a title for your page.
  4. If using photos, send no more than two at 100MB.
  5. If using a video, it must be hosted on YouTube or Vimeo.  You will send that link along with your content.

CampWire Podcast Sponsorship

CampWire, ACA’s channel for in-depth conversations with camp and youth development experts, 15,600 cumulative total downloads and almost 500 downloads per episode. We cannot track listeners. ACA typically releases a new episode each month. 

Cost $350 member; $500 nonmember; content is due by the 16th of each month.

Benefits:

  • A 20-second spot in the podcast and a thank you at the end. This content would be read by the podcast host and NOT recorded by the business.
  • One-year shelf life at a minimum.
  • The podcast will be marketed widely through multiple platforms — ACA Now, Facebook, Twitter.

Camping Magazine focuses on critical topics and emerging issues that influence readers and helps successfully own, administer, and/or direct their camps. 

Camping Magazine's primary responsibility is to present new programming ideas, the latest camp trends, current legislative and risk management policies, and progressive information affecting child and youth development. 

Numbers in the rate card correspond to the official Standard Rate and Data listings under classification 21B.

Camping Magazine puts your business in front of a camp's decision-makers - owners, directors, purchasing agents - the people who do the buying. Ad Format

Camping Magazine prefers that finished ads be submitted in a 300 dpi high-resolution PDF format with the original file color formats as CMYK with all fonts embedded (containing RGB or JPEG data).  Black and white halftone ads can be saved as grayscale.  Other acceptable formats in order of preference:  Adobe Photoshop CS3 saved as a high resolution of 300 dpi, JPEG, or TIFF; Adobe Illustrator CS3 saved for a PC with the fonts created as outlines; PC/Adobe InDesign CS3 or lower; PC/QuarkXpress 7; MAC/InDesign CS3; Mac/QuarkXpress 7.  Include all screen and printer fonts with page layout documents when creating ads in InDesign or QuarkXpress.  Embed art/photos in Adobe Illustrator files.  Conventional materials are not accepted (film, camera-ready, etc.).

Ad Guidelines

The following guidelines apply to all advertisements published on any American Camp Association (ACA) platforms. We are dedicated to following advertising and content regulations that align with ACA’s priorities regarding diversity, equity, inclusion, education, and camp health and safety requirements. Following these guidelines protects ACA’s integrity and trust amongst our members and readers while working with advertisers and sponsors.

  • Under the law, claims in advertisements must be truthful, cannot be deceptive or unfair, and must be evidence-based
  • Ads must reflect who you are and what you are promoting
  • Ads should reflect the diversity of today’s youth/camper/staff/etc.
  • Ads that depict campers climbing, boating, horseback riding, zip lining, etc., must follow ACA standards — campers must be wearing the proper protective gear/equipment, such as helmets and life jackets
  • Advertisers will follow ACA’s ad format requirements
  • ACA does not allow tobacco, alcohol, or drinks that resemble alcohol in advertisements
  • ACA will provide stock photography if needed
  • ACA staff can create advertisements at a per-hour fee

Editorial Calendar

Camping Magazine does not produce an official editorial calendar.  However, the following two issues have a specific editorial focus:

May/June - Special Staff Training issue:  All articles cover staff training topics (e.g., leadership, supervision, behavior management, camp counseling skills, and more) geared to the camp counselor and front line staff.  This special issue is sold at a special bulk rate.  On average, this particular issue sells an additional 10,000+ copies.

January/February - ACA National Conference issue:  This edition serves as an important preview to the ACA National Conference and will feature articles from keynote speakers, conference highlights, conference program schedule at a glance, and more.
