  1. I see a record that needs to be deleted, deactivated, or merged with another record. What do I do?
    Please e-mail Tom Schenk. Users don't have the security rights to delete or merge records. While you do have the security rights to deactivate records, please don't do so without contacting Tom.
  2. Can I import records?
    Please e-mail Tom Schenk if you have data that needs to be imported into CRM.
  3. What is the procedure on handling member's passwords?

  4. Are there "rules" to follow when entering new data?

  5. How can I show more than 50 records at a time?
    Yes, you can show up to 250 records at once. To change this setting, go to Workplace > Personalize Workplace > General (tab). On this screen, you can also choose which area displays first when starting CRM.
  6. Can I add new reports or customize existing reports?
    Not really. It takes special software (SQL Reporting Services) to create reports and it is fairly complex to use. If you would like a report added or customized, please contact MIssy Casner to get the report created/customized.
  7. What are some tips for using "Quick Find" to find records?
    • Put a * before camp names (* is a wildcard)
      • bear - will find "Bear Camp", but not "Camp Bear" or "YMCA Camp Bear"
      • *bear - will find all of those camp names
    • You don't need to put a * after words however; it already performs this feature by default.
    • When searching for a person, searching by last name is quicker than first name.
    • When searching for a specific person, the most direct way to find them is to type last name, first name (e.g. schenk, tom)
    • The following fields are searched when using Quick Find on Contacts: ACA Number, Person's Name, Business Phone, Home Phone, Nickname, and E-mail Address.
    • The following fields are searched when using Quick Find on Accounts: ACA Number, Account Name, Main Phone, Zip.

    Can I connect to CRM from a Mac?
    Sure. You must first download and install the Remote Desktop client for Mac, and then you connect in the same way as you would from a PC.
