For the past five years, an armada of spacecraft has been orbiting the Moon, changing the way scientists view the Moon’s history. Explore: Marvel Moon: Hands-on NASA Activities to Bring the Moon's Life Story to Camp Audiences will acquaint you with FREE hands-on science activities related to NASA’s current understanding of how our Moon formed and has evolved, and will prepare you to lead these activities in your programs with children ages 8-13. This webinar will explore our Moon’s life story – from its violent birth through its changing early life to the relatively quiet present. Explore: Marvel Moon will answer the question, “Why does the Moon look the way it does today?”

Through this webinar, participants will:

  1. Increase their preparedness and confidence in facilitating out-of-classroom hands-on space science activities.
  2. Be familiar with the current scientific understanding of how our Moon formed and how it has evolved.
  3. Be exposed to opportunities to use hands-on space science activities
