Mentors matter!  Maybe more than you think.  And there's no better place to practice mentoring than at summer camp.  Learn about the positive youth outcomes of mentoring, what young people look for in a mentor, and how you can maximize your effectiveness as a mentor at camp.  Designed for both new and experienced staff, this webinar is ideal for those interesting in building strong mentoring skills.  As a director, learn how to teach mentoring to your staff.

By the end of the webinar, participants will learn:

  • proven effective outcomes of youth mentoring
  • differences between formal (matched) and informal (natural) mentors
  • three “Ps” of mentoring (prepare, practice, and personalize)
