Accreditation Manager [Job Posting]

ACA is seeking an individual to join our team as an accreditation manager. We are eager to find an individual who is passionate about the benefit of a camp experience. To be successful in this role, an individual must be:

Reporting to the director of accreditation, the accreditation managers are accountable for a variety of duties and responsibilities in support of and advancing the mission of ACA as innovative, thoughtful, communicative, welcoming, and productive members of the Association team.

 What would you do if hired?

  • Implement the verification process (ACA Standards) in the region with the goal of increasing the quality of the camp experience.
  • Collaborate with regional Membership Managers, providing accreditation program expertise and current and future customer/member support.
  • Recruit, develop, and engage volunteers essential to the delivery of the verification component of the Accreditation Program in accordance with established policies and procedures to ensure the program’s integrity.
  • Liaise with volunteer Standards Chairs to complete key steps, including maintaining the volunteer decision-making components of the program; assigning verification visitors/visit dates; and identifying and addressing any quality control issues related to verification visits.
  • Guide individuals taking programs through the reaccreditation process.
  • Guide local volunteer training needs in connection with the verification (standards) component of the accreditation system.

What are we looking for in a candidate?

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in related field or equivalent demonstrated experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with ACA (employee or volunteer) or relevant experience within a nonprofit
  • Demonstrated proficiency in existing and emerging technology tools for communication, productivity, project management, problem-solving, and decision-making.
  • Seizes leadership as an opportunity to serve others, shares influences and controls to drive engagement, listens, is empathetic, and is a community builder. Goes beyond the surface to tackle root causes for long-term growth and success.
  • A commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
