Your Opinion Matters: Fill Out Survey About Exchange Visitor Program!

The ACA Government Relations Committee has been working closely with the Department of State (DOS) and legislators across the country to build awareness about the value of the J-1 cultural exchange program. The DOS has begun a complete brand review of the Exchange Visitor Program, and they need your input. The DOS is considering how to position the program to increase understanding regarding the nature of the program and its benefits, for the general public as well as our lawmakers. The DOS is seeking perspectives of sponsors, host organizations, host employers, communities, responsible officers, and the public.

It is critical for all camps that participate in the cultural exchange program to complete the survey to assure camp voices are heard as a part of the review process. The survey opens on January 2 and input will be accepted through January 18.

Below is an explanation of the survey from the DOS and a link to participate.

Each year the Exchange Visitor Program brings more than 300,000 participants to the United States for cultural and educational exchange. As the Exchange Visitor Program’s purpose has evolved we’re taking this opportunity to consider a new brand for the program, and we’re interested in your perspectives. Take a few minutes to fill out our survey.
