We are seeking a full-time After School Program/Summer Day Camp Coordinator. This position will initially be the President of Pathways to Learning (PTL) and reporting to the CEO. Within a year to eighteen-month period the President will assume the role of CEO. Planning for new day programs starting in June is underway. The “typical” work week runs Monday through Friday for instructors with availability during the week, and Friday through Sunday for instructors with weekend only availability. We can be flexible with your schedule, and opportunities for overtime are offered. Candidates with experience leading and helping others in a professional setting, preferably at a camp and/or adventure program are preferred, but we are willing to teach skills to outgoing and energetic applicants. Competitive compensation up to $16/hour offered, depending on experience. Private and/or shared housing is available. Residential, full-time position in Rhinebeck, NY, includes room & board. Seeking an experienced facilitator with an interest in outdoor education and ropes course facilitation. The Retreat Program Facilitator provides instructional leadership and works in partnership with visiting schools and organizations to create experiential learning opportunities that work towards designated outcomes and align and support educational objectives, and social emotional learning, healthy peer relationships and Community Building. Our programming targets skill building and social emotional learning with Outdoor Education, adventure based learning and youth development at its core. Responsibilities: •Ropes Course: Provide experience and skills specific to the operation of high and low ropes elements. This includes a two-week intensive training and assisting in the maintenance of the course and equipment related to the course. •Staff Training: Participate in Ramapo based training for retreat facilitators that includes but is not limited to, small group facilitation, outdoor education, ropes course, purposeful debrief and other aspects. •Retreat Partnership - Meet regularly with Retreat Team to assess needs and collaborate with facilitators.
