Topics of This Years Training: Creating a Camper-Centered Summer Experience

Throughout the day we are going to lead you on an interactive journey focused on camp culture – creating a camper centered environment. With the help of Kid President, we are going to focus on the five things we can do to make camp AWESOME this summer:

  1. Life happens when you put down your phone
  2. Focus on the awesome
  3. Treat everyone like it is his/her birthday
  4. Talk gooder
  5. Be a day maker!

In your camp team groups you will have the opportunity to discuss three planning topics:

  1. What do camper focused activities look like?
  2. What is our camper centered philosophy?
  3. How do we manage the in-betweens?

Attendee Takeaways:

  1. Attendees will leave with a deeper understanding of their role and ability to effect and implement a camper-centered environment.
  2. Attendees will leave with an understanding of the value and impact of their position; Enriching Lives, Changing the World through the camp experience.
