The Student Camp Leadership Academy (SCLA) is a three-day experience that brings students together with camp professionals to take an in-depth look at options for a profession in the camping field and build skills to prepare for a career in camping. 

Who Should Attend

SCLA is designed for undergraduate and graduate students who are considering a career in camping.  View Program Goals & Core Learner Outcomes. Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age.

Program Topics Will Include:

  • Build your Networking Skills
  • Weathering the Storm - Risk Management
  • Resumes & Portfolios - How to Get Hired as a Camp Professional
  • Opportunities in the Camp Field & Beyond
  • Balancing Camp & Family
  • Resource & Activity Swap
  • And meeting several professionals from camps and companies that support camp!
