ACA and the California Department of Public Health Overnight Camp Guidance

We welcome California Overnight Camp Directors to attend this free 60 -min. Town Hall style webinar to ask questions about the newly released CDPH Overnight Camp guidance. There will be a presentation by CDPH and local health officials. Please submit questions ahead of time and time permitted panelists will answer additional questions during this session. Participants are encouraged to review the California Department of Public Health Guidance for Overnight Camps prior to the session.

Panelist and Moderator Bios:

Trudy Raymundo

Trudy has served with the San Bernardino County since 1990 and began working in Public Health in 1997. She became the department’s director in 2012. 

In June of 2020, Trudy transitioned to the State of California’s Department of Public Health (CDPH) as the Head of External Affairs: COVID-19 Response, which includes overseeing Tribal Affairs.

Leilah Kelsey

Leilah has been with San Bernardino County for 24 years.  She currently supervises staff in the Food Safety, Recreational Health, Housing Program.  Her staff include the 3 inspectors who inspect the 67 organized camps in San Bernardino County.   

Jennifer Osorio 

Jennifer has been with San Bernardino County for 14 years and has served as the Chief of Environmental Health Services for the last 3 years. She has worked in Food Safety, Recreational Health, Housing, Technical and Program Development and Mosquito and Vector Control.

Amy Paquette

Amy graduated from Fresno State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health.   She has worked as an Environmental Health Specialist with the County of San Diego Department of Environmental Health and Quality since 2000.  Over the past ten years she has been one of the lead specialists for the Organized Camp Program in the County. In addition to Organized Camps, she also works in the food, housing, swimming pool, body art, and hazardous materials programs.

Eric Sergienko

Eric Sergienko is currently the Health Officer, as well as Lead for the Director’s Action Working Group (DAWG), Mariposa County Health & Human Services Agency (HHSA).

Doctor Sergienko earned a Bachelor’s degree with honors from Oregon State University and his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.  He has a Master’s of Public Health from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst. In addition, he completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth and the CDC’s Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) fellowship. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine. 

Andy Moeschberger

Andy "Soy" Moeschberger is a Camp Director and Chief Fun Officer at Gold Arrow Camp in Lakeshore, California. Prior to working at camp full time he spent 14 years as a high school government teacher. He loves camp, a good book by a mountain stream, and his collection of Presidential Pez dispensers, which he calls "The Pezidents". Andy also serves as the Government Relations Chair for both ACA, Southern California/Hawaii and the Western Association of Independent Camps.
